Portuguese Quinta

The Casa da Prova is a remarkable 17th century family house in the village of Prova, in the northeast of Portugal, which we completely restored and recuperated for the descendants of the original family.

The project started as an abandoned house with no roof, already serving as a stable for animals. It was carefully rebuilt from the structure and utilities up to the magnificent carpentry work of the ceilings, windows and doors, to the plumbing fittings, and a new wing built in the same local granite.

The opportunity to so completely transform and breathe life back into such an historic house, with all the modern electrical, thermal, acoustic and other comforts to a family using the space for work, pleasure and comfort.

The house is today the center of an extensive and prestigious wine-producing estate, surrounded by about 15 hectares (37 acres) of land, and is once again the residence of its historical family.
