The Quinta dos Loridos is located in Bombarral, an hour north of Lisbon, and is part of the Bacalhoa wines group. It consists of a main residence that has been restored, with annexes, a new winery and development of the themed garden-park "Buddha-Eden", along with production vineyards.The most significant interventions we made were the creation of a new cellar for Espumante (Portuguese sparkling wine), and the creation of a Peace Garden in the agricultural and cork oak forest area.
When the Buddhas carved into the mountains were destroyed in Afghanistan, the owner was offended by the cultural destruction and decided to create a park dedicated to the Orient and to the Buddhas. More recently, they launched the African park, commemorating the land where the client first started their career.
Today this garden is among the 40 most famous and visited gardens in the world.
